Come to ONGFest

On May 9 to 11 a (r) evolution is called for. (R) evolution towards the better in every area each and every one of us looks and is concerned about. Towards and for the celebration of diversity,  human rights, equal opportunities for all, protecting the environment and heritage, involvement and participation in important decisions to us.

Civil Society Development Foundation organizes between May 9 to 11, 2014 the 5th edition of ONGFest – The National Festival of Nongovernmental Organisations in Romania, supported by the Bucharest City Hall.

The outdoor fair will take place in the weekend May 10th to 11th in the Herastrau Park, at the entrance from Charles de Gaulle.

ONGFest is an outdoor event which aims to increase the number of citizens actively involved in the community, to develop the associative spirit and to increase the involvement in society of associations and foundations in Romania. The event will bring together approximately 150 NGOs from within Romania and abroad (Norway, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Hungary). At least 25 000 visitors are expected.

On May 9th, at the House of Parliament, and not just there, best practices and changes for (r)evolution are discussed. It is a day dedicated to networking and discussions. On May 10th and 11th, in Herastrau Park, we present ourselves to the public and call for more people to join us in the (r)evolution.

The theme of this year's edition of ONGFest is promoting diversity, tolerance and solidarity, and combating discrimination and hate speech. ONGFest encourages volunteerism, civic participation, social entrepreneurship and civic innovation.
